Trainer Development

RIOS Trainer Development is the trainer-training school: the path for people learning professional canine training and developing their practice. Opening a RIOS location remains a separate path for people who are already professional trainers.

    Competency, not a calendar

    Progress through named competencies with prerequisites. Advancement comes from demonstrated work, not time served.

    Demonstrate, then repeat

    Each competency carries a documented lesson plan, instructor demonstrations and supervised repetition targets.

  3. 03
    A human signs off

    A qualified instructor assesses and signs off every competency. A trainee cannot pass themselves.

  4. 04
    An honest, permanent record

    Corrections add linked entries while preserving the original, creating a longitudinal development history.
