CURRENT ARIZONA RESCUE / BUILDING TOWARD A FLORIDA SANCTUARY
Care today, in Arizona.
RIOS Rescue & Sanctuary is the working identity for current rescue activity and the longer-term sanctuary effort. Current Arizona aquatic rescue begins with the animal’s situation, responsible care needs and available capacity.
An inquiry is a request for review, not an acceptance or a transfer agreement. Describe the species, adult size, health concerns, current habitat and timing. Do not transport or release an animal based on this page.
A useful first conversation.
- Share the animal’s situation, location, current system and urgency.
- Discuss whether RIOS has the suitable care capacity and what other support may be needed.
- Confirm any next steps, responsibilities and arrangements directly before moving an animal.
Building toward a Florida sanctuary.
The next stage is to develop the resources, governance, suitable property and operating capacity for a sanctuary. A Florida site has not been acquired; no visitor venue, animal display, accommodation or bookable sanctuary experience is represented.
Practical ways to participate.
Start a conversation about suitable supplies, useful skills, animal-care capacity or the sanctuary’s development. Acceptance depends on the actual need and the arrangements RIOS can responsibly support.
A nonprofit has not been formed. This page offers no tax-deductible donation claim, payment collection or promise that a fixed percentage of a sale is allocated to rescue.
Businesses that can help carry the mission.
Canine training, software and commercial Aquatics are being developed as businesses that can support the rescue work over time. Commercial habitat planning, care, selective stock and builds have their own inquiry path.

There is an active plan to form a separate rescue entity and apply for 501(c)(3) recognition. It has not been formed or filed, and no tax deduction is represented.
